Rhymin’ in Love
Am I still in a daze. Or is it a haze from our two dreamy days
Our love filled our hearts, lips wet with kisses in phases,
Promises that promised would forever blaze,
Razes the rays that raises trees in mazes
You can’t ever be blessed enough
For praises, to be showered
without a sugary glaze
of rhyming phrases.
Drawing lines on our palms
With sand that secretly singes,
Leaving behind woody trails
Of homing birds in rough cages.
Place your hand against mine,
Notice how our life line merges?
Have you heard them
say, love grows in tiny stages
Magic tokens conjuring up images
streams flowing, and hills bent at edges.
Hold hands my love! Let’s frolic in our urges,
I need no mansion, no home, we can live in barges.
Never before had I prayed with preaching sacred pages
Oh stay, please stay! A moment longer or perhaps a few ages.
