‘Would you like to order now?’ she asked.

‘Give us five minutes please. We need to catch our breath,’ he answered. Maya noticed the bow tie he was wearing. ‘Must be expensive,’ she thought.

‘Sure,’ she answered and placed her iPad down. She hated this technical equipment. What’s wrong with a pen and paper? What’s wrong with just pasting the menu on the wall and barking out the order?

‘Excuse me!’ she turned to look at where the sound came from. Table 36. A woman sitting at the table waved at her. Maya walked toward her while her eyes couldn’t escape the sight of the unbelievably round breasts the woman’s decolletage allowed.

‘How are these things so round? Aah these rich women and their scanty clothes,’ she snorted within.

‘This water is bland. Get us a bottle of citrus water. Leave the rind in,’ the woman with half-exposed breasts explained while her manicured fingers made instructions in the air.

‘Sure!’ Maya said. She rolled her eyes in her mind careful not to express it.

‘Don’t forget to check on the foie gras we ordered,’ she snapped as soon as Maya had turned her back.

‘I will,’ Maya replied with a plastic smile that almost gave itself away.
